Marathi Typing Tutor ("the App") is an educational typing-practice application developed by Star Cheetah Studio. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes, where it is stored, and how it is used.
1. Information We Process
The App processes practice-related information locally on your Android device, including lesson progress, completed lessons, WPM, gross WPM, net WPM, CPM, accuracy, correct/incorrect/total counts, backspaces, duration, stars, timestamps, daily practice records and streak-related information. Preferences include keyboard layout, font size, difficulty, sound settings, dark mode, finger guide, virtual keyboard visibility and WPM calculation method.
2. How Information Is Used
This information is used to provide typing-practice features, calculate statistics, save lesson progress, maintain local practice history and remember preferences.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
The current App does not require an account or login. The App does not upload typing transcripts or practice statistics to Star Cheetah Studio. The App does not include a server-side profile for users.
4. Physical Keyboard Input
When a physical keyboard is connected through Android/USB OTG, keyboard input is processed locally for typing practice and accuracy calculation. The App does not upload the user's typing practice text.
5. Offline Operation and Permissions
The audited version of the App has no requested Internet permission and is designed to provide its core typing-practice functionality offline. It also does not request storage/media or direct USB-access permissions.
6. Advertising and Third-Party Services
The current version does not integrate AdMob/Google Mobile Ads, Firebase, analytics SDKs or crash-reporting SDKs, and it does not display third-party advertising.
7. Local Storage
Practice statistics, lesson progress, history and preferences are stored locally on the Android device. Reset Progress clears lesson progress/statistics but retains preferences. Clearing the app's storage removes local records and preferences.
8. Android Backup
Android backup is enabled for the App. Depending on the user's Android/device and backup-provider settings, Android may back up or transfer application data and may later restore it. This system-level backup is separate from the App uploading data to Star Cheetah Studio. Backup copies are controlled by Android and the user's configured backup settings.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Local data remains on the device until it is reset, cleared, removed by uninstall/app storage actions, or otherwise handled by Android. Backup copies may be managed separately by Android or the backup provider and may be restored according to those settings.
10. Children's Privacy
The App is an educational typing-practice application and does not provide an account/profile system for submitting personal information to the developer. We do not intentionally collect personal information from children through the App.
11. Data Security
Local application data is subject to the security of the Android device and its operating-system controls. No electronic storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App's functionality or privacy practices change. The "Last updated" date will be revised when material changes are published.
